Yuvan Bothysathuvar V. Driven by a profound interest in art, Yuvan honed his skills under the renowned J.P. Krishna, creating 50-foot portrait billboards of Tamil film actors and politicians. After earning his MFA in Fine Arts, Yuvan participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. His extensive travels to Dubai, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands allowed him to study the lives of the people in these regions, shaping his distinctive artistic methodology and expression.
Yuvan has been recognized with several accolades, including the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Scholarship (2010–11), the Best College Art Emerging Artist Award (2013), which included a residency in Scotland, and the CIMA Merit Award (2014). His work revolves around the "multiplicity of planes," exploring how memories are layered, filtered, and contextualized to suit the present. This conceptual depth enables him to establish a unique identity for each piece, guided by a disciplined creative vision. Most recently, his work was featured in Art Mumbai (2024), represented by Palette Art Gallery.
