About the work

Even after all these years of our existence, the mystery of the Universe escapes us.

Our limited understanding of our relationship with the environment contributes to much of our behaviour.

We think of ourselves as isolated centres of awareness placed in a world which is foreign to us. That we are aliens left to confront our surroundings. We cut ourselves off, feeling entitled to dominate that what’s around us.

Rather than integrating nature into our work and treating it with gentleness and respect, we mistreat it. Exploit it.

We try to beat it into submission. Through my work I ask : why be hostile to nature? What exactly is the difference between human houses and bird nests?.
