TALES (TAILS) OF IMAGINATION

To bring together a collection of artists who create portraits of sentient beings, becomes an exercise
in the unravelling of tales of imagination even as they portray the gentle characteristics of the
creatures they decide to recreate in the mediums of their choice.

Materials and mediums

This quaint and curious selection of sculptures celebrate the earth in terms of animals that walk the
universe. Within the use of materials like steel discs and stoneware and bronzes there are a series of
sculptures and paintings that blend the modern and organic aesthetic that can be seen in the
extensive line of creative imagination.

One-of-a-kind figurative sculptures as well as paintings create 3-dimensional wall art, and the
sculptures accord a certain respect and recognition to animals such as the horse, the goat, the
hippopotamus, the rhino and the gorgeous endangered elephant. Created and crafted by world-class
artists, each piece has a story to tell; through the inspiration, the materials, or the catalyst of
creation from which it originated.

Figurative zest

We see the fluid contours of the elephant and a litany of hybrid images of man and nature in
stoneware. Then there is the play with the surreal signature to create own interpretations of
situations in interiors in the darkness of nocturnes and horses. In the paintings we see an elevation
of animal as well as the human figurative painting to high art, by creating a grandiose canvas
celebrating zoological splendour of both the curious creatures and the landscape they inhabit.

Tales of imagination dwells on the power of anatomy and texture and tenor in the beauty of animals
all across the universe. Each image becomes a universe in verse.
