Launched in 2008, India Art Fair is the leading platform for modern and contemporary art in South Asia. Acknowledging the fair’s position as the portal into the region's cultural landscape, India Art Fair was recently part-acquired by global exhibition organisers MCH Group, as their first step in creating a portfolio of leading regional art fairs around the world.
Building on its success over the last nine years, in 2018 India Art Fair will present a refreshed curatorial approach to its gallery programming, working closely with exhibitors to showcase strong, regionally relevant content across all four sections: Galleries, Focus, Platform and Institutional.
Taking place annually in the capital city of New Delhi, India Art Fair reflects the fast-developing arts scene in the country, while offering curated insights into the cultural landscapes of neighbouring states. The fair’s programme – which draws together galleries and artists, private foundations and arts charities, artists’ collectives, national institutions, cultural events and festivals –enables international audiences to engage in innovative ways with the cultural history and development of the region.
