Gurunathan G is a contemporary artist renowned for his dynamic work with the KINETICS collective, contributing his distinctive style to the group. His solo exhibition, Looking Back is Looking Forward, with Ashvita’s Gallery, was held at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai, in May 2024. Recent group exhibitions include Kinetics—Confluence at Gallery Veda, Chennai (2023), and India Art Fair in New Delhi (2022). He has also showcased his work in Kinetics—When Attitudes Become Form at OED Gallery, Kochi (2021) and Kinetics—Similar But Not The Same at Gallery Veda, Chennai (2021). Most recently, his work was featured in Art Mumbai (2024), represented by Ashvita.

Internationally, he participated in Pigments on the Plane in Paris, France (2017), and Kinetics at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai (2014). His past solo exhibitions include The Untitled” Exhibition at Art Houz Gallery, Chennai (2019), and the Artist of the Month Exhibition at Cholamandal Artist Village, Chennai (2010).

Gurunathan’s artistic journey is marked by several accolades, including a State Award from Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai (2003), and the Best Student Award from Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai (2009). His consistent participation in both national and international exhibitions reflects his deep commitment to contemporary art and his unique approach to expression.
